Help! I'm already nearly 3 weeks here. Time is flying!! Ans time to update you.
As you have a nomal working day in Europe (or somewere else), I have my normal day here. Going to my job in te morning and finishing around 18 in the evening. In between it might be different than your job ;-) I'm travelling a lot to the Organising Comitte, situated beside the big stadium. That means 30min travel by car, which is always exciting, as I have to drive trough te big busy city on the left side. And sometimes the traffic lights at the biggest crossings just stop working. And find out than who can drive first...
In the evening I started to go to the Fitness Centre around the corner. Best nice and fun, but you know all that I would prefer a track. But I'm working on it and expecting to stand on a track this week!
Further we are going out with people from the OC or our job. And in the weekends I always try to do something extra, outsidemy normal scope.
Last weekend we went to the Cradle of Humankind. For the first time and finally outside the big city! Nice to see some hills and cows.
The weekend befor we went to the football derby in SOWETO: Keizer Chiefs against Orlando Pirates. In the Lonely Planet is written that this is THE match you should go to. And we were really happe to manage to get tickets! And via a representant from Nike we even got shirts.
This match was just grazy! And indead, it splitted the whole stadium and whole SOWETO and the whole city into two parts: the yellow and the black/ white. Really an experience!
Next weekend I will go out for some hiking. People try to arange things for us and there is always somebody who knows somebody to help us to do the things we want to. It's nice and I really feel relaxed and happy with all these people around me.
That's it so far. It's getting hotter here. It's getting summer!
